The Numbers Game

Maybe my favourite rule change
in F1 this year,
is the permanent number choices
that only take the drivers thought to engineer.

Lewis was set on #44,
because of his days spent in a kart.
Alonso's #14 is for the same reason,
a number that's close to his heart.

Seb stays as #1,
but has #5 for when his crown is taken.
Teammate Dan has opted for #3,
and despite the new challenge seems unshaken.

Jenson's been sentimental,
picking the number he won his title with #22,
as has Rosberg picking his dad's #6
maybe we'll see a bit of deja vu?

Pastor's gone and picked
a slightly worrying #13.
Romain's picked #8 for his son,
along with many other reasons in between...

The Finnish champ Kimi,
has stuck with last years #7,
and on Perez's Force India
you will see his karting number 11.

McLaren's Magnussen has chosen #20
the number he held taking his Renault title.
Other rookie Ericsson will have #9;
impressing in his first season with Caterham will be vital!

Both Bottas and Chilton have taken the social media approach,
incorporating their numbers into their names.
You will now see #BO77AS and #M4X trending,
its just a bit of fun and games...

The Toro Rosso pairing,
have chosen the numbers #25 and #26.
While at Sauber Esteban and Sutil have picked #21 and #99
Lets hope the new teammates click!

Hulkenberg has gone with the famous #27
maybe in hope of a future Ferrari drive..?
Massa has chosen #19 for a new start with Williams,
this may be the year we see him thrive!

Returning Kamui has gone for #10,
and Jules Bianchi was the unlucky one.
#17 wasn't even in his top three choices,
fingers crossed it brings him luck once the season has begun!
