Due to the changes
F1 is facing,
I think its time i wrote something,
about women in motor racing!
See many people think,
its relatively new,
to see female racing drivers
breaking through.
But in fact,
that's not the case.
Back in '58 was when the first woman,
started an F1 race!
OK, the results haven't been as great,
as the men have achieved.
But maybe the idea of women racing cars,
was slightly preconceived.
Claire and Monisha have made their mark,
on the business side of the sport,
so why aren't women making an impact,
driving this amazing transport?
To date, 5 women
have made an F1 debut.
You cant help but think,
a 6th and 7th are certainly due?
Filippis, Lombardi, and Galica,
are three of the five.
Each making history,
with their ground-breaking F1 drive.
Now Sauber and Williams,
look set to add to it,
With Silvestro gearing up, and a FP1 slot for Susie,
the much loved Brit!
Here's hoping women F1 drivers,
are here to stay!
You never know...
we may get a female champion one day!
