WEC Silverstone 2014

Ive had the greatest weekend,
so good it felt unreal.
At the 6 hours of Silverstone,
the talented drivers took to the wheel.

It was the first time I'd been to WEC,
and after that weekend I'll certainly go again.
For anyone else considering going,
ensure you've got a camera and a pen!

You get access to everywhere,
including paddock and pit,
meaning you can meet drivers like I did,
guys like Sam Bird and Aussie Grit!

Drivers and crew walk among you,
all more than willing to spare some time.
If you're lucky you can get photos and autographs,
following your favourite driver isn't a crime...

Silverstone put on a great event,
putting stalls up and opening grandstands for fans.
There were also buses that took you to the paddock,
while team equipment was transported by golf buggies and vans...

The racing was beyond epic!
some of the best I've ever seen.
All four classes on circuit at the same time,
and every driver seems really keen!

The race was stopped with 30 minutes to go,
due to heavy rain,
but a superb victory was taken by Toyota,
And Webber sprayed his first WEC champagne!

The whole weekend left me lost for words,
it was even better than i thought it would be!
one of the greatest experiences I've ever had...
...See you next year WEC!
