Thought I'd write a poem about all the changes in F1 for the coming season.
Now i apologise if any of the information is incorrect but im still trying to get my head around some of it. So with a lot of help from Feburarys F1 Racing Magazine and a bit of knowledge I already had, this is what Ive come up with...
Hope you enjoy!!
As the 2014 F1 season approaches,
we all know things are about to change.
The first car launches have come and gone,
And the new cars? Well they look rather strange!
The cars will sound different too,
thanks to a new engine deal.
1.6L, V6 turbos will power the cars,
I hope they haven't lost their exciting appeal!
Power has been reduced,
from 750 to 600bhp.
As has the fuel load by 30%.
Will cars even make it to the end of a grand prix?
Wings are shorter, noses are lower,
resulting in an ugly car.
Weight has increased due to heavier engines,
this season will be truly bizzare!
Side pods have widened,
to aid with cooling.
Gearboxes will now have 8 gears not 7,
again the result of new ruling...
Two motor generator units,
are also a new addition.
Gathering energy by braking and heat,
Each team hoping their system will beat the opposition.
A new energy store,
gives extra power for 33.3 seconds per lap.
Also a single exhaust that cant be blocked by bodywork,
requires Mr Newey to put back on his thinking cap.
Permenant number have been chosen,
which stay with a driver throughout their career.
Jenson picking 22, Lewis 44,
Pastors gone for 13 - Oh dear!
Maybe all these changes,
will really put F1 in a spin?
Teams and drivers will need to adapt fast,
if they want that much desired championship win...
