My hero - Lewis Hamilton

Been wanting to post this for a while. Was one of the reasons i set this blog up.

Help me get Lewis or McLaren to see it please...

Lewis Hamilton

Some people ask me who my hero is,

well I'll tell them straight.

He's the one who wears rocket red and silver,

and a man I really rate.

He races for McLaren,

the best race team ever.

He shows pure talent and supreme skill,

especially in the wet weather.

You'll spot him on track,

by his helmet – bright yellow

Just like his hero,

Ayrton Senna, an outstanding fellow.

A single point off winning the championship,

in his first year.

An incredible achievement,

everyone shed a tear.

Then to 2008,

his time had come.

On the last corner of the last lap,

he became the number one.

2009 was a difficult year

but 2010 he was in the fight right till the end

In 2011 he battled with himself

the media was confused with the mixed messages he would send.

So to 2012 where McLaren are strong once more

But closely matched by Ferrari,

who started the season really poor.

With five race wins between them,

Lewis and Jenson are looking great.

Still fighting for the championship,

both wanting to beat their team mate.

Then came the huge shock,

on 28^th September

Lewis is announced to be moving to Mercedes

this is surely a day we will always remember.

But with twenty victories to his name,

Lewis will remain one of McLaren's best.

For his ability, and passion

and putting his team mate to the test.

Looking to 2013 and what to do,

well I'm following my heart.

Supporting both Lewis and McLaren,

and wishing my hero a brilliant new start.
