I must say even though a McLaren driver wasn't on the podium Japan has to be one of my favourite races of the 2012 season. The Japanese fans were incredible especially with Kamui on the podium for the first time the chanting of his name round track was the best thing I've heard in a long time! I must admit i shed a tear at that! To see Japan cheering on their F1 hero was so special and a viewing experience i will never forget!
For me Sebastien Vettel wasn't really the winner of the race in my eyes. Yes, he was on the top step of the podium but i think my winner was Kamui. Although you cant talk about this GP without a mention of Felipe Massa! He drove an incredible race and even though Vettel was out of reach it was a well deserved podium and he should be extremely proud and i strongly feel Ferrari should really consider keeping him for 2013!
Id like to congratulate my 3 favourites- Lewis, Bruno and Jenson! Yes McLaren didnt have the perfect weekend but in terms of points we scored the same amount as Red Bull and more than Ferrari. So as far as constructors championship is concerned we are still very much in the hunt and laugh all you want but i still believe we can win the drivers too!!
As for Bruno, his weekend was covered in bad luck, from being blocked in qualifying and getting a drive through penalty in the race. But yet again Bruno showed good pace and dived his way through the field to finish in a respectable position I really do think that Williams should consider keeping Bruno for 2013!
Anyway on to Korea. You can bet Alonso will come back strong as will the Red Bulls but i think McLaren will be the ones to watch out for...
